    Surf Report comments:

6:55 am:    The waves are slightly bigger this morning compared to yesterday.  Semi-glassy to semi-choppy early, with the wave size at 1.5 to 2 feet, occasionally a little larger.       Our local buoy the early wave height reading is 4.9 feet at 6 seconds, up from yesterdays  2.6 feet @10 seconds .      The marine forecast is calling for S winds today.  The water temperature is measured at 66.8 degrees at The Pier this morning.   See the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

7:30 am:  Early morning photos are up and posted and along with a great sunrise, you can see we have waves for your Saturday.   Misty and a little foggy overall, with waves @ thigh to stomach high is the best guess as to how large they are, on this second look.   It’s hard to tell without seeing a surfer on a wave.  There could be some larger set waves than that as the wave height measurements on the buoy offshore are up in size, compared to yesterday.    The south wind will allow for a warm day (with not cold water!) and it remains to be seen when the wind will finally clock offshore ahead of the front by the end of the day.    It could start clocking as early as this evening, which would clean up the swell…
