This collector's board is a shape by Mike Tabeling. Rising to surf stardom in the 1960's, Tabeling was ranked #2 in the United States in 1967 at the ripe age of 17. After growing up surfing his local break of Cocoa Beach, FL, Tabeling went on to compete in world contests from 1966 to 1970. He went on to make quite the name for himself in the surfing world, becoming the first East Coast surfer to grace the cover of Surfer Mag and eventually being inducted to the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame in 1996.
This board is in good used condition considering its age. There are been several repairs on this board, but they are professionally done with minimal compromise of the original shape.
