Don Hansen, the founder of Hansen Surfboards, didn't have your typical surf-centered upbringing. Born in Redfield, South Dakota, Hansen discovered surfing while attending college. Following college, he did a short stint in the army before returning back to Santa Cruz, CA. It was here that he apprenticed under industry legend, Jack O'Neill. In 1961, Don opened the doors to Hansen Surfboards, located on the North Shore of Oahu. The 50/50 model became one of Hansen's most popular, iconic designs.
This particular board is in good condition considering its age. There are plenty of pressure dings/heel dents all over the board and a lot of discoloration, which is inevitable over time. This board has a single fin setup, 10" fin included.
