When Byrd Hair was first created by Chase “Big Bird” Wilson back in 2012, he sourced inspiration from his great grandfather’s hair tonic and barber’s shop located in the Storied Metropol Hotel Fargo, North Dakota. A professional surfer and California Native, Wilson sought out to revive the class and flair of the “gentleman surfer” from 1960’s surf culture through the creation of his own modern pomade.
Soft Top surfboards are great for beginners looking to get started surfing. They are lightweight, stable, and are more affordable than a normal fiberglass surfboard. For kids, soft top surfboards are great as they remove some of the injury risk associated with surfing. Many are also much more lightweight for easy carrying and transportation to and from the beach.
