The Channel Islands CI Log Longboard. The CI Log is a finely tuned traditional shape that resulted from a long-time collaboration between surfer Devon Howard and Goleta-based master craftsman Wayne Rich. Setting out with a goal of building the best traditional longboard every, they spent the bulk of their R& D phase focused on improving the sluggish turning characteristics that classic longboard designs are known for. Staying true to the traditional longboard genre, the CI Log has no edge in the tail. This not only keeps things honest, it also provides the ultimate hold and control while driving thru sections on the nose. To offset the tail dragging nature of soft railed boards, Wayne shaped in a unique rail and bottom contour combination that provides more drive, sensitivity and confidence through turns than any other traditional longboard you'll find.

The board's overall performance characteristics are enhanced by having a wide hipped outline just behind the center point, and its pulled in nose allows you to ride tighter in and around the pocket with improved ease and control. Whether riding on a reeling point wave or mushy beach break the CI Log is very versatile and provides extra gears for bursts of speed when you need them - from both the tail and middle trim zones of the board. The CI Log can be ridden from 9'0 - 10'0 and is stocked in 5 sizes. Clear or high quality colorful resin, craftsmanship (6-6oz deck with 6oz bottoms) are available, and both come with a satin sanded gloss resin finish. We've also designed a custom single-fin specifically designed for the CI Log that helps loosen the board for critical turns in the pocket while at the same time providing enough tip area for maximum lift and hold in critical sections when you're perched hight and tight.
