Q: Can I return a board bag if it doesn't fit?
A: Yes. however please read the information below and take precautionary steps to avoid this as the customer is responsible for any and all shipping costs of returning the bag ($100+).
Q: What kind/size surfboard bag should I get?
A: This can depend on a few factors but two important ones would be:
• What size/type surfboard do you have? (ie - 5'2 fish, 6'0 shortboard, 9'0 longboard)
• What do you want to use the bag for? (ie - day use, storage, airplane travel)
You want to consider the size/shape of your surfboard so first check the board's dimensions: length, width and thickness. Try and match your 'surfboard type' with a bag listed as such. Fish Surfboards = Fish Bags. *Do not buy a Shortboard Bag and expect a Fish Surfboard to fit in it.
Q: "I'm not sure my surfboard will fit, should I just order one and hope for the best?"
A: No. These bags are expensive to ship and do not qualify for free returns. If you have questions on if your board will fit, PLEASECONTACT US PRIOR TO PLACING AN ORDER IF UNSURE.
Q: "I have the Board Dimensions - should I order a bag that is larger to fit?"
A: Again, this can depend on a couple factors but the bag should have somewhat of a snug fit without the board(s) swinging from side to side while inside. Most surfboard bag manufacturers design their bags to be a couple inches larger than the length listed. So for example - a 6'0 bag might actually be 6'3 to allow for padding/a little extra space. Check and compare your surfboard dimensions to the bag dimensions.
Q: What is the difference between a Sock, Day Use & Travel Bags?
A: Socks are very thin fabric that are for keeping the board from sun damage. Day Use bags have some padding that are for taking your board to and from places in a smaller vehicle. Travel Bags have extra padding and in some cases wheels and are designed for airline travel.
Q: What about multiple Surfboards in a single bag?
A: There are bags designed for single board use and bags designed for multi board use. It should be clearly stated in the product title or description the number of boards the bag can hold.
Q: Will the Airline accept my board bag and boards?
A: Please check your specific airline carrier's website for information on larger sized travel items and any restrictions they may have. Click here to view information on airline travel bag charges.
Q: What is a 'Coffin Board Bag'?
A: A 'coffin' surfboard bag is a very large, multiple board bag that often has wheels. These bags are much larger in size and are designed for carrying multiple boards and more heavy travel.
