The FDX-1 is a balanced template with all-around performance. With a neutral template that is not overly upright or raked, it’s specifically designed to act as a single fin set that can serve as the performance baseline for any shortboard or midlength in your quiver.
Built utilizing AirFlex technology with an air core of polyurethane foam, it delivers the lightest possible weight with optimal rebound under load, balancing performance qualities of speed, flow, and response. This makes the FDX-1 ideal for both creating and controlling speed as a thruster or quad.
AirFlex construction combines a precision-shaped polyurethane foam core with high-strength fiberglass and epoxy resin, creating a lightweight internal structure supported by a durable outer shell. By removing excess weight while maintaining structural integrity, this build delivers a balanced, predictable flex pattern with quick response and smooth feedback under load. The result is a fin that feels lively and responsive through turns, while remaining stable and controlled when conditions demand it.
